Green Cardemon

Cardamom is a spice that is a member of the ginger family. Elettaria cardamomum, or green cardamom, has a particularly fresh aroma that resembles orange. The most famous is green cardamom. The taste of cardamom can be described as sweet with a hint of bergamot, lemon and camphor and the smell is pungent.

Cooking tip

The green variant is therefore added to many dishes, such as rice meals, curry dishes, but also to baked goods such as speculaas and various types of pastry. You make with the cardamom snow peas a wonderfully scented and healthy tea. After a meal, a cup of tea (eg green tea) with green cardamom snow peas is good for digestion.
